HELEN JOSEPH, LMHC

I am deeply committed to promoting equity and social justice in all aspects of my work. As a mental health provider, educator, and consultant, I work from an anti-oppression framework that centers the experiences of marginalized communities. I believe that mental health cannot be separated from the larger systems of oppression that impact people's lives, and that addressing these systems is critical to creating truly inclusive and equitable mental health care.

In addition to my work as a trauma therapist and corporate/school consultant, I have extensive experience as an educator teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students enrolled in higher education institutions, as well as students (of all ages) in a variety of learning environments. I believe that education is a powerful tool for social change, and I strive to create safe and supportive learning environments that promote curiosity, critical thinking, empathy, and personal/professional growth and transformation.
